“MINISTERS OF GOD” DAY OF THE LORD – OCTOBER 9, 2022

REVELATION 20:6

6. Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.

DEFINITIONS

Priests -d) a minister of any religion.

Minister -c) to attend as a menial or worshipper, to contribute to, to serve, wait on.

This is after The Lord comes back and puts Satan in the pit for 1000 years. He will rule and reign upon the earth with those who have overcome the beast. They have been resurrected and are in the presence of the Lord with a glorified body.

This is what we are waiting for. This is what we should be prepared for. This is the rapture of the Church or the first resurrection. The last enemy to be defeated is death. I believe the Lord will defeat it by perfecting His own as they put on incorruption and are made brand new. 1 Corinthians 15:42-53

We are not given all the details but are repeatedly told to be ready. If we keep our eyes on Jesus and His power and not on our own weakness, we have won most of the battle. We must learn to be His priest or minister.

Isaiah 61:6 But you shall be called the priests of the Lord; people will speak of you as the ministers of God…

We must learn what it means to minister to the Lord before we minister to man. So many are so concerned with ministry when they get saved and want to jump into some type of position that maybe they have not been prepared for.

Luke 24:49 And behold, I will send forth upon you What My Father has promised; but remain in the city (Jerusalem) until you are clothed with power from on high. Amp.

Jesus told them to go and make disciples of all nations but first wait until you are filled with the Holy Spirit. Then there is power not of ourselves. We must first learn to minister to the Lord in prayer, communion and worship. We must learn to obey His Word so that we can speak of it with power.

We must devote ourselves to Him with all of our heart forgetting all else until He sends His power upon us, and we are truly sent. Then we will be ready to face the enemy with faith casting him out of our way.

How can we be of help to others if we do not know Him. This is the time to get to know Him and His ways. Then He will perfect us and make us ready for that first resurrection.
