ISAIAH 54:10
10. For though the mountains should depart, and the hills be shaken or removed, yet My love and kindness shall not depart from you, nor shall My covenant of peace and completeness be removed, says the Lord, Who has compassion on you. Amp.
DEFINITIONS
Compassion -d) sorrow for the sufferings or trouble of another, with the urge to help; pity; deep sympathy.
Peace -c) safe, well, happy, prosperity, rest, favor, quietness, health, welfare.
Complete -d) to end, finish, to make entire, thorough, perfect.
We have been studying the last days prophecies and have read where the mountains will be gone. The Lord is making His presence known to the nations. His voice is speaking out saying this is the time to be ready to face Me.
He is also speaking to His beloved remnant who have been preparing for His coming. He is saying that His love will not depart from us. He is saying that He has a covenant of peace and completeness with us that shall not be removed.
We must remember that a covenant is an agreement between two parties. We must keep our part and He will keep His part. Just what is our part?
Romans 3:22 Namely the righteousness of God which comes by believing with personal trust and confident reliance on Jesus Christ, the Messiah…
Jesus must be our Savior in Whom we place our trust. He promises foremost that His love and kindness will not depart from us. Then He promises to give us His peace which contains so much more than peace. If we analyzed each one, we would have a page for each one.
I think completeness is the really special gift of this scripture. To complete us means that He has perfected us, and we are ready for anything and everything that comes. We do not know just what we will be, but we know we will be like Him. And that means perfect.
It would not be such a big deal if we had lived a life free from sin. But we have had to bear this sin nature that is always trying to stop us from doing the things we so much long to do for the Lord. One day we will wake up to perfection and what a joy that will be. No more weariness, pain, sorrow, anger, or unbelief to hassle us ever again.
This is all because He has had compassion on us. He sees us in our struggles and wants to help us to find the right way out of them. And He will do it! Now He wants us to learn from His great love and compassion so that we will have His great love and compassion on others.
1 Corinthians 13:10 But when the complete and perfect (total) comes, the incomplete and imperfect will vanish away — become antiquated, void and superseded. Amp.
