7. The Lord is my strength and my impenetrable shield; my heart trusts, relies on and confidently leans on Him, and I am helped; therefore, my heart greatly rejoices, and with my song will I praise Him. Amp.
Shield -c) a protector; hide of a crocodile; buckler, defense, ruler.
We are no match for the strategies of the enemy and all of his weapons. We must place our trust in these last days in the hand of the Almighty Lord of All or we will run the other way when we see the shaking that is coming upon the earth. Satan will be right there with his lies about God’s faithfulness trying to steal our faith.
We must be ready anticipating what is to come. Then we will not be surprised but know why the very powers of heaven are being shaken and caused to totter.
How are we to know that the Lord is our shield? He sends trials that will bring attacks from others that make no sense to us. They usually come when all is well, and we are strong in faith. We usually wonder what I did to deserve this difficulty. The opposite is the truth. The scene of difficulty is the opportunity of something good.
We must just place our sails in the right position and continue to sail along with Lord by our side. He will be with us, and we will see Him fight for us in ways we have not known before. It is meant to be a faith builder that we will never forget. These are the spoils of war. We take that trial as a building block and use it for future attacks.
We will be like David and say, “Your servant killed both the lion and the bear; and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, for he has defied the armies of the living God!” 1 Sam. 17:36
Then we can rejoice in Him knowing He is our help and if God be for us, who can be against us. We will be rejoicing and praising Him when He comes.
Psalm 31:23 O love the Lord, all you His saints the Lord preserves the faithful, and plentifully pays back him who deals haughtily.
24. Be strong and let your heart take courage, all you who wait and hope for and expect the Lord! Amp.
