16. And they gathered them together at the place which in Hebrew is called Armageddon. Amp.
The 7 Vials are being poured out in Chapter 16. Right before the 7th is getting ready to be poured out and the wrath will be finished.
Revelation 16:13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.
Revelation 16:14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty. KJV.
This is when we are told to guard our clothes and stay awake because He is going to come like a thief. Then in verse 17 He pours out the last vial and says, “It is done!” The evil spirits have done the work of gathering up all the evil doers in the world and bring them to one place to be destroyed. They are in no position to battle against the Almighty or the Lamb. They are sitting ducks.
Revelation 19:11, 15, And I saw heaven opened and behold a white horse; and He that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He doth judge and make war.
l5. And out of His mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it He should smite the nations: and He shall rule them with a rod of iron: and He treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
The heavens opens and Jesus is sitting on that beautiful white horse making His glorious entrance, the troops of heaven close behind. He has come to rule and reign. But first He has a battle to win. He has but to speak and it is done. He calls the birds to come and feast on the flesh of the rulers of this earth. They have become food for the birds.
The beast and the false prophet are thrown into the lake of fire. The rest are killed with the sword of His mouth. It is over. That is Armageddon. There is no contest or battle. They are simply wiped away. Jesus has come to reign.
It is for us to be ready, to stay alert and guard our clothes. This means we must continue in our prayer and communion time always examining ourselves that there be no spot or stain.
2 Peter 3:14 So, beloved, since you are expecting these things, be eager to be found by him (at His coming) without spot or blemish and at peace – in serene confidence, free from fears and agitating passions and moral conflicts. Amp.
The Hebrew definition for peace is safe, rest, favor, well, happy, quietness, health, prosperity, and welfare. If we are lacking in any of these qualities, we should take it to the Lord for His help to cleanse us and restore our peace. Happiness is very important. If you lose your joy, that is a warning sign. This is soon to happen. We should seriously seek His peace while guarding our clothes.
