6. Then I saw another angel flying in mid-air with an eternal Gospel (good news) to tell to the inhabitants of the earth, to every race and tribe and language and people.

7. And he cried with a mighty voice, Revere God and give Him glory (honor and praise in worship), for the hour of His judgment has arrived. Fall down before Him; pay Him homage and adoration and worship Him Who created heaven and earth, the sea and the springs (fountains) of water. Amp.

This is a critical time right before the wrath of God is poured out and the angel is sending a last warning before the fall of Babylon. What is the main thing that he is telling all to do?

He says to Worship God and fall down before Him in adoration paying homage to Him. You would think He would say it is time for you to repent of your sins and get in right standing with God. But in fact, that is exactly what He is saying.

Babylon is the seat of idolatry. All the inhabitants of the earth are in love with Babylon. They will not admit it because Satan has blinders on them, and they tell themselves that they are okay.

We must examine our hearts and see what makes us happy. The definition of homage means what you do to show honor to the one you are professing to love. Does your time show that you are madly in love with Jesus? And because of your love for Him you love His body and care for them regularly. If so, your time will be filled with Him and not contaminating influences that are Babylon.

We will know who we worship by what we are devoted to and what gets our energy or attention. When you worship, do you worship and love the Lord or thinking about other things? We are to reverence Him by our worship by being so very grateful for all He has done for us:

  1. For the Cross.
  2. For saving us from our sins.
  3. For healing us so many times.
  4. For His protection.
  5. For His provision.
  6. For His Everlasting Love.
  7. For the songs we sing.
  8. For fellowshipping with other believers.
  9. For His Word of Truth
  10. For His Holy Spirit
  11. The list goes on and on…

We have so much to be thankful for. He desires us to show our gratitude in our worship and communion times with Him. This is what our homage to Him should begin with. It should always grow and grow some more! If He does not have the first place of love in our heart, we will end up in the midst of the judgment of Babylon.

So, we must pay our homage to Him serving Him with all that we are. What more love and joy is there in this world. He is the only good thing in this life that is worthy of our devotion. We want to be grateful for all that He has done. Let us thank Him always and never slight Him but giving Him all of our heart because He is so worthy!
