- God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
- Therefore we will not fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea:
- Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.
- There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the Most High.
- God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.
- The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: He uttered His voice, the earth melted. KJV.
Tabernacles -c) dwelling place or habitation.
I believe before He comes, we will see the earth move and mountains be removed. We will see the mountains shake when He rises to shake mightily the earth, (Is. 2:19,21). We are to be seeking the river of God, the city of God, His holy place or tabernacle. God is in the midst of this place. How do we find it?
Revelation 22:1 then he showed me the river whose waters give life, sparkling like crystal, flowing out from the throne of God and the Lamb.
This water is the Life of the Lamb. When Jesus was on the cross, they put the spear in His side and water flowed out. That was the beginning of the river flowing out as a trickle to all who came to Him in faith. It has continued to grow till today. We must learn to swim in these waters. It is Holy Ghost power in our life, overcoming power in our life.
Revelation 7:17 For the Lamb Who is in the midst of the throne will be their Shepherd, and He will guide them to the springs of the waters of Life; and God will wipe every tear away from their eyes. Amp.
He wants us to be at peace when He comes, (2 Peter3:14). The Holy Spirit is the water flowing into us bringing us the power we need to overcome the obstacles we have in our life. He inhabits the praises of His people. We must come to Him in Praise and Worship daily as we learn to let this river flow into our spirit. If we do not, we will be overwhelmed by attacks of the enemy.
He is telling us that there is a river that will make us glad. It is the holy place that He dwells. He is in the midst because He dwells there. Here we find His Presence. His Presence will keep us from being moved when situations occur that unnerve us and push us to the limit.
We must look for our refuge and deliverance in a song. His music will lift us into the heavenly realm and out of the earthly realm away from the reach of the enemy. He is so powerful. We must be in awe of Him and know that He can utter His voice and melt the earth. Are we not to give Him our full and undistracted attention? Does He not deserve our all?
Psalm 46:10 Be still, and know that I Am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. KJV.
When we are upset, the best thing to do is to sit down and be still. He speaks to the still place of our heart. We need to be still for Him to let His river flow. That will mean no anxiety but His peace.
Dear Lord, we ask you to fill us with your precious Holy Spirit and calm our unholy nerves. Let us be still in your presence so we can access the River of Life. Let it flow through our spirit so we will be at peace now and forever. Amen!
