REVELATION 17:1-2
- One of the seven angels who had the seven vials then came and spoke to me, saying, Come with me! I will show you the doom (sentence, judgment) of the great harlot (idolatrous) who is seated on many waters.
- She with whom the rulers of the earth have joined in prostitution (idolatry), with the wine of whose immorality (idolatry) the inhabitants of the earth have become intoxicated. Amp.
Who is the great harlot but the leaders of this earth who have rejected Jesus and His holy sacrifice. Satan comes upon them and prospers them in mighty ways that they believe they will always be blessed above others. Idolatry is the sin of loving something more than God. It will be judged.
Revelation 18:7 To the degree that she glorified herself and reveled in her wantonness living deliciously and luxuriously — to that measure impose on her torment and anguish and tears and mourning. Since in her heart she boasts, I am not a widow; as a queen (on a throne) I sit, and I shall never see suffering or experience sorrow. Amp.
Revelation 17:17 Because in one single hour all the vast wealth has been destroyed, wiped out…
We must learn to depend upon the Lord wholly for our provisions because things will change. But the Lord will be a refuge for His own and will provide even if He must create food for us, will He not do it?
The world and its rulers are living in opposition to the Gospel of Christ. We must share in His suffering to share in His glory, Romans 8:18. The world has it backwards and the judgment will come upon the rulers and the wealthy who believe they run things upon the earth. We must learn to live in moderation and pray about all we do, doing our best to follow the Lamb in all of our ways becoming more like Him.
The wine is symbolic of the blood of Jesus and the Holy Spirit that our spirit drinks in. If we are following the Lamb and dying to self-daily, we will be infused with the Holy Spirit more and more. If we feed on this world and all the contaminating influences, the Holy Spirit will drain out and Satan will jump in and fill you with his toxic imitation. It is filled with worldly prosperity and selfish ambition with promotions into Satan’s kingdom. The Lord will give us what we want even if we want the wrong things. We must give it all to Him.
Revelation 17:8 So shall her plagues (afflictions, calamities) come thick upon her in a single day, pestilence and anguish and sorrow and famine, and she shall be utterly consumed – burned up with fire; for mighty is the Lord God Who judges her.
The leaders of this earth are accountable to God for every judgment and law they have passed. There has been so much opposition to God’s ways in the governments of this world. He will say that is enough. No more evil. Jesus will take up His throne and reign in righteousness. He will remove the evil forever and ever.
Psalm 145:20 The Lord preserves all those who love Him, but all the wicked He will destroy. Amp.
โJesus will take up His throne and reign in righteousness.โ Amen๐๐พOh how we look longingly for Jesusโ arrival!!๐ฅ

You are touching stuff for those who desire to grow .
People they avoid this because it seems you are telling them not to prosper but, God has a way to prosper us and when he prospers us, it’s total package
You see I was going through 1 Timothy and I discovered that God again and again warns us of these snares….
1 Timothy 6:6-11
[6]Now godliness with contentment is great gain.
[7]For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
[8]And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content.
[9]But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition.
[10]For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
[11]But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness.

Paul says we must learn to be abased and to abound. He wants us to learn to prosper with Him by our side directing all that we do. He knows what we need, and we need Him more than anything else. When we learn how much greater He is, other things lose their value. Then we have to learn to be good stewards of what He has given us and follow Him even though we may not understand what He is doing. Waiting will show us His plan. He is in control. We then must go forth not knowing but trusting.
Thank you for taking the time to give all those great scriptures. Hope all is well with you and your family.
