MATTHEW 24:12
12. And the love of the great body of the people will grow cold, because of the multiplied lawlessness and iniquity. Amp.
Revelation 13:8 And all the inhabitants of the earth will fall down in adoration and pay him homage (the Beast), everyone whose name has not been recorded from the foundation of the world in the Book of Life of the Lamb that was slain in sacrifice from the foundation of the world. Amp.
These scriptures are warning us that the time of the end there will be great opposition against believers. We are taught by Jesus to be harmless as doves. How is this possible with so much opposition?
Matthew 24:9 Then they will hand you over to suffer affliction and tribulation and put you to death; and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake.
We must not always expect to be treated with kid gloves by others. If we are serious in our walk with Christ, then we should have had some unpleasant dealings with others that are meant to teach us how to be harmless as doves. I do not know of anyone who is harmless as a dove. When we are hurt, most of us try to hurt back. This is malice and it is wrong. But it is in our nature and must be brought out in the open so we can see it. Then we can pray about it and learn to resist the next time.
I have a great book by Joyce Meyer called, “Beauty for Ashes.” She talks about the abuse she endured and how the Lord healed her. She talks about a root of rejection. If you have dealt with a lot of rejection, then a root has probably formed. She said that when you fear you are being rejected that you will act in a way to cause the opposition to reject you first. This is an involuntary action that protects from rejection before it occurs. We know this is not the right way that Jesus would have us respond and we need healing.
Isaiah 60:15 Whereas you have been forsaken and hated, so that no man passed through you, I will make you, Jerusalem an eternal glory, a joy from age to age. Amp.
Jerusalem is the elect of God, the overcoming Christian, and the bride of Christ. She is who is spoken of in Matthew 24:9. While the rest of the world is paying homage to the beast and living in ways contrary to the Holy Spirit, she will be rejected. If we want to be part of the overcoming Jerusalem, we must expect to be rejected and learn how to get the victory.
First, we have to learn how to forgive. We must know who our enemy is. The devil is always behind any abuse we may have endured. We can hate the devil all we want. We must see with our spiritual eyes that he is the one causing our pain and not the person. Then we can let it go and forgive.
We must listen to our words. Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. We all have things buried in our hearts that the Lord wants to heal. He will bring about a trial and cause us to say things that we know are not right. Then we must question ourselves and seek to find why we said what we said. If we just ask to be forgiven without knowing why we said them then we may lose the healing that we need.
Joyce Meyer talks about “a doorway of pain,” in her book. This is when the Lord wants to heal you of a deep-seated wound. She said that we will go through a similar situation of a hurt we received, and we will react from that past wound. This is the time to be harmless as doves. As we go through this doorway of pain, we must endure it in the right way with no complaining in a way that is pleasing to the Lord. Then He will bring about our needed healing.
I have been through many of these doorways and have received many victories. But I am still finding doorways for healings that are new to me. They are very painful for me. But the Lord always is there and extremely merciful to me. He will see me through because He promised, and He cannot lie!
Isaiah 60:3 To grant consolation and joy to those who mourn in Zion, to give them an ornament – a garland or diadem of beauty instead of ashes…
But the Lord always is there and extremely merciful to me. He will see me through because He promised, and He cannot lie! Amen!!๐๐พ

Love Joyce Meyers and read that book and purchased a few copies for other people. May God heal our wounded emotions which cause people to build walls around themselves for fear of getting hurt. God is more than able. Bless you. ๐๐พโค๏ธ

Yes! I was a baby Christian trying to apply scripture to real, everyday life. I have quite a few of Joyceโs and Daveโs (her husband) books.

I have never seen her. I am in Kentucky not that far from St. Louis. Can you tell me where you are? I know some don’t want to tell things on the internet.
I cannot get on to post my blog. So I am chatting away. Maybe someone pulled to plug. Help me Jesus! ๐คจ๐คจ๐คจ

You are right down the road from me. I am in Louisville. Howdy neighbor! I don’t think so. It has not rained on me all day. But it has been nice and cooler. Is that maybe why I cannot get on line? I am not a computer person. I might put the poem out by E-mail. Not sure. Have to pray and see. Pray for me. Looks like I will not have a post tonight. This is Satan and I pray and bind him more than enough.

My daughter went to see Joyce Meyer and bought that book so I bought it just to see what she was reading. That is when she first started. Every word in the book was for me. I was not sexually abused but my first husband was an alcoholic and there was a lot of emotional abuse. And the Lord started working on me from that day on.

Amen ๐๐พ. God is so good and knows just what we need. Joyce has an amazing ministry of triumph out of adversity. Your own story is one of triumph. Look what the Lord has done and continues to do through you. ๐๐พโค๏ธ๐

He gave me time alone with no other responsibilities but Him. I have been very blessed. Like Joyce says “He turned my mess into a message!”
