51. Behold, I show you a mystery; we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

52. In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. Amp.

Rapture -d) the state of being carried away with great joy.

We have all heard these scriptures and the teaching that goes with them. This is supposed to be the rapture of the Church. As I have said before, the word rapture means the state of being carried away with great joy. This should be the state of each Christian as he is blessed in the presence of God and should happen all the time. And the word rapture is not in the Bible. So that would make the teaching of the rapture a doctrine of man. Am I wrong?

We should have our focus not on when or how we are to leave this planet, but on being ready and at peace when He comes. This is a mystery that will be revealed to His own gradually as they need it. We should be learning how we must put on incorruption.

1 Corinthians 15:50, 53-54. Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

53. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

54. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. KJV.

We know this is the very last enemy that shall be destroyed, verse 26. So, we are the ones that the Lord is using to bring about this final victory. How is this done? We must put on incorruption so that is voluntary. If we were not perfected and just raptured away, that would not be the case. We must be led by the Spirit and not the flesh, Romans 8: 1-14.

2 Corinthians 3:18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. KJV.

As we come into His presence especially during our worship it is as if we hold our spiritual telescope up to our spiritual eyes as we behold Him. As we do this, we are changed from one degree of glory to another. This is a voluntary action that shows we are putting on incorruption. Of course, the rest of our life must line up with each degree of glory. But as we follow the Lamb, He will see to all of our needs continually perfecting us into His incorruptible image.

Revelations 10:7 says this mystery will be fulfilled at the trumpet of the 7th angel. The 7th trumpet sounds after the 2nd Woe. There is still one more Woe to come. That comes in Rev.12:12 when the woman must put on the wings of eagles and fly to the wilderness. If she is in the wilderness, she is still on this earth. We must learn to be spiritually raptured and, in His presence, before we can be raised to meet Him in the clouds forever.

However, these precious moments of worship in His presence and beholding Him will be transforming to us as the glory changes us to be more like Him. Only He knows when we will be ready. He will come at the proper time and swallow up death and complete us to be like Him.

Is this not the most glorious time to be living? We must focus on all the good He is doing for His own and the reward He is bringing and not on the judgment of the wicked.

Psalm 118:24 This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. KJV.
