REVELATION 6:1-8
Revelation chapter 6 is telling us about 6 of the 7 Seals. We are going to talk about the first 4 which is the Four Horseman of the Apocalypse.
Revelation 6:1-2 And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see.
2. And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.
This is the anti-Christ spirit going in the spirit of deception to trick the church into believing his word is from the Lord. And the spirit of deception is very much active in the Church.
Revelation 6:3-4 And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and see.
4. And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword. KJV.
This horse has the power to take away peace from the earth. That is fear. What does Islam do but kill with the sword and spread fear from place to place. What did Covid do but spread fear throughout the whole world. Fear controlled most people. They lived not by faith but by every word that came out across the media. They obeyed all of their instructions so they would not be infected and die.
1 Peter 2:24 says …By His wounds you have been healed. If we live by faith in Jesus, we believe His Word and live like we are healed and not susceptible to the same sicknesses the world suffers from. We are to live by Faith in the Word of God and not by fear.
Revelation 6:5-6 And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand.
6. And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine. KJV.
This horse is spreading spiritual and physical famine across the earth but says not to harm the oil and the wine. The oil and the wine are God’s people who are walking in faith. The oil is a symbol of the Holy Spirit. The Spirit must be in control and not the flesh, (Romans 8:3-8). The wine is a symbol of the Blood of Jesus (Matt. 26:27-29). The Blood of Jesus must be appropriated in your life forgiving and protecting you in every way.
God will protect His people during all famine. There is nothing to fear as long as we are walking in faith in His promises and placing all of our trust in Him. He is faithful and will not fail His own.
Revelation 6:7-8 And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice say, Come and see.
8. And I looked and beheld a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with the beasts of the earth. KJV.
I believe that we are still at the point in time of the Red Horse or the second seal. We have not experienced famine as bad as it is going to be. We have not seen a fourth of the population of the world die.
We have this warning before us. We are going to see a lot of suffering. The Lord will protect us. But if we are not prepared for what we are about to see, faith could easily turn to fear, and we would not stand.
This is the time to seek the Lord for His help and strength. We need to be talking to Him about these things. He will guide us into all truth by His Holy Spirit. And we must find Him alone in the secret place. That is where our faith will grow as we hear His voice calling our name.
Psalm 46:1 God is our refuge and strength a very present help in trouble.
