Luke 21:28 Now when these things begin to occur, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption (deliverance) is drawing near. Amp.
I am starting a new series entitled “THE DAY OF THE LORD.” My Daily Devotional has come to an end. If you wish to still read them you can go back to the beginning and start over on July 1, 2021. I will still be using the Scripture and Song format as I believe the songs are vital to our daily walk.
The Lord is telling us in Luke 21:28 that when we see signs that we are headed for the end of time, we can look up and find deliverance. What does this mean?
2 Corinthians 4:6 For God Who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts so as to beam forth the Light for the illumination of the knowledge of the majesty and glory of God as it is manifest in the Person and is revealed in the face of Jesus Christ, the Messiah. Amp.
Our time of communion and intimacy with the Lord prepares us for His presence. The best time for communion and worship is after prayer. I believe so many loose the anointing as they finish their prayer time and go their own way. There is so much fertile ground in prayer. It is a pulling down of heaven and then you get to enjoy the water that you have drawn. He is there waiting for you with more of Himself to reveal.
Why do you spend time in prayer? Why do you spend time in the Word? Is it not to get to know Him? Do you just want a ticket to heaven? Then you are missing the true reason for Eternal Life.
John 17:3 And this is eternal life: it means (to know and perceive, recognize, become acquainted with and understand) You, the only true and real God, and likewise to know Him, Jesus, (as the Christ, the Anointed One), the Messiah, Whom you have sent.
He is the reason for all that we do. We are called to get to know Him personally. When we obey His commandments, He comes to dwell in our hearts and lives. We are blessed with the ability to see Him as He reveals Himself to us. And He will do this. But we must put ourselves in the position to receive Him.
Our Worship is an act of obedience. It is not forced upon us. He wants our love to come from a willing vessel. When we worship, it is an act that is completely secret. No one knows but Him. He is seeking worshippers who will love Him with all of their heart, mind and strength.
When He comes, He will reveal Himself gradually more and more every day. We must look up into the Spirit realm because He is there. If you set your mind upon Him, you will see Him. And this will grow and grow until He is here.
He says to look up for your redemption draweth near. He is in the sky with the power to set us free. If you have any hindrances in your life, I suggest you sing to the Lord and look up and don’t stop looking until you find Him. He is there looking for you!
