MATTHEW 24:15
15. So when you see the appalling sacrilege spoken by the prophet Daniel, standing in the Holy Place (and) let the reader take notice and ponder and consider and heed (this),
21. For then there will be great tribulation — affliction, distress and oppression — such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now; no, and never will again.
This scripture is telling us this sign of the beginning of the great tribulation period. Just what is the appalling sacrilege spoken by Daniel?
Daniel 9:27 And he shall enter into a strong and firm covenant with the many for one week (seven years); and in the midst of the week, he shall cause the sacrifice to cease for the remaining three-and one-half years…
Satan approaches God’s people who have abandoned the holy covenant and he manages to make a deal with them to cease offering their sacrifices to the Lord. He is seducing them with flatteries, and they are given positions in the Church that pollute the Sancturary thus the Abomination of Desolation. They are no longer a sacrifice and thus their land becomes desolate because there is no Holy Spirit inside.
Thus, they are standing in the Holy Place where the praises are offered. Many of these people are in these positions today and are undetected by undiscerning believers. Many do not want to judge others as they should not. But when certain things are brought to your attention, you must pay attention to what the Lord is telling you. We are not to expose them but pray for them to repent.
Romans 2:22 …You who abhor and loathe idols, do you rob temples – (appropriate to your own use what is consecrated to God,) thus robbing the sanctuary and doing sacrilege?
What is consecrated to God belongs to Him. Our bodies are consecrated to Him when we are saved. He purchased us. We are not our own. We belong to Him. Therefore, if we continue using our life for our own selfish purposes, we are in danger of committing sacrilege. If that is the case, then our Holy Place can become corrupt and quickly lose the power of the Holy Spirit and become desolate. If we keep this charade in front of others, we soon become the abomination of desolation.
The Lord always has a believing remnant who have discernment and can see with eyes of the Holy Spirit. I know over the past 30-40 years; I have seen many ministries come and go. Some I have loved so very much and watched them fall. I knew they were in danger because I saw them doing things the Lord would not let me do. I had to back away from reading their books and listening to their preaching. There are more than I care to mention.
John 16:13 But when He, the Spirit of Truth comes, He will guide you into all truth…
When my husband died, I had to find the truth for myself. Gary had such a great gift of preaching and prophecy that I loved. But he was gone, and I had to find the truth for myself.
The Lord has answered me and given me such great gifts. The truth is out there for everyone if you seek Him with all your heart because He promises. Jesus supplies my every need and that is enough!
