NEHEMIAH 1:6
6. Let Your ear now be attentive, and Your eyes open, to listen to the prayer of your servant, which I pray before You day and night for the Israelites Your servants, confessing the sins of the Israelites, which we have sinned against You. Yes, I and my father’s house have sinned. Amp.
Nehemiah has heard about the remnant that is in great trouble and reproach. The wall of Jerusalem is broken down and the gates are destroyed by fire. He does not get mad and blame the enemies of Israel. He takes the blame upon himself and repents for the sins of Israel.
This is the prayer the Lord hears. Daniel also prayed the same prayer and repented for the sins of Israel. They both knew the Lord had to deliver them from the hands of such an enemy or they would never get back to Jerusalem where they belonged.
What does Nehemiah do but pray the covenant. He brings up what God had said to Moses (vs.8-11). He has God’s attention. He merely brings His Word of truth to Him and says “Now do as Thou hast said.”
Then the Lord gives Nehemiah favor with the king and the work begins. So, when we see our Nation getting a huge victory as we begin to walk in this triumph, the devil will not retreat but will regroup and attack in another sphere. This victory cannot be ignored but must be appropriated and continually fought. There must be a holy praying remnant that lives and fights the battles every day and not just on Sundays.
One day soon, things will be turned upside down (Is. 24:1-3). The Nehemiahs will come forth and none will recognize them. The well-known preachers will not have the answers when all falls apart. Only the holy remnant who have been shut in with Jesus learning His voice and His ways, will have the answers. The Lord will make it clear who serves Him with a heart of love and who do not.
His Glory will arise upon them and be withheld from those who do not know Him. That Glory is an illuminating Light that will explain what is happening. And many will run to them for answers out of desperation.
This is the beginning of the last outpouring and harvest of souls. Today is the day to prepare to receive His Glory. Soon it will be too late.
Isaiah 60:21 Your people also shall all be uncompromisingly and consistently righteous; they shall possess the land forever, the branch of My planting, the work of My hands, that I may be glorified. Amp.
So, when we see our Nation getting a huge victory as we begin to walk in this triumph, the devil will not retreat but will regroup and attack in another sphere…
This is so true Wenda.
We should be very careful the moments after victory because the enemy attacks when people are not expecting it.
I had about the case of abortion there were people in your nation who were on their knees praying for 50 years encircling abortion clinics declaring the word of the Lord.
The god molech who requires sacrifices of babies will try to brew another battle.
Watch and pray.
