PSALM 27:13-14
13. I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
14. Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and He shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord. KJV.
We are all looking with our eyes for the goodness of the Lord to show up. He is looking in our heart for faith. We want sight so we can sigh a sigh of relief. We must learn faith in the trial. When we can believe without seeing, faith is activated.
If we are fainting under affliction, it is because faith is lacking. If we have been given a Word from the Lord, a promise that He is speaking to our heart, then we should believe it. Even though circumstances scream out the opposite, we must learn to rest in that promise.
Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things we hope for, being the proof of things, we do not see and the conviction of their reality — faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses. Amp.
We want to see and hear and know that everything is all right. It is hard to rest when something is not right. When you go to bed at night you make sure the doors are locked and the lights are out, and the stove turned off. You make sure the kids are tucked away safely. Now you can rest.
Now what if some of these things were not done. What if the lock on the door was broken? What if your teen-ager was not home yet? That is the time you must lean on the Lord. He knows everything. He is already there making it work for your good if you are trusting in Him. If you are up all night worrying, then faith is lacking.
There will always be times in our life that we cannot be in control. Things do go wrong for us all. This is the time we must hope to see the Lord’s goodness in our afflictions and troubles. He expects us to learn to wait upon His timing without fainting.
Even in times of fainting, He is there with His mercy to help us through the hard time. He loves us and is oh so gentle in all of His ways. He will strengthen us and help us to learn and grow. He will always be whatever we need! But we must bring our needs to Him and ask for the help we so desperately need.
Psalm 138:3
3. In the day when I called, You answered me, and strengthened me with strength (might and flexibility) to temptation in my inner self. Amp.
Great word, sometimes we need to hear that there are moments we cannot be in control in Revelations we hear of the dragon being given power over the saints.

The Lord will allow our faith to be tested. That is how faith grows. But He is always in control and close by. Rev. 13:7. is all meant for us to learn Satan’s ways and moves. He wants us to be devil proof and not to fear.
