ISAIAH 8-10

8. Thus saith the Lord, In an acceptable time have I heard thee, and in a day of salvation have I helped thee: and I will preserve thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, to establish the earth, to cause to inherit the desolate heritages;

9. That thou mayest say to the prisoners, Go forth; to them that are in darkness, Shew yourselves. they shall feed in the ways, and their pastures shall be in all high places.

10. They shall not hunger nor thirst; neither shall the heat nor sun smite them: for He that hath mercy on them shall lead them, even by the springs of water shall He guide them. KJV.

This is just one of the many times that the Lord blesses Israel, making her a Light to the nations. He comes and delivers them and makes them special. I believe He is talking about Jesus that comes forth out of Israel. He is the New Covenant that He has given to the people of the earth. He is the only way to salvation.

He is going to use Israel to set the prisoners free and feed them. They shall not hunger or thirst. He shall lead them by the springs of water. What could this be but Jesus. He alone can give us the living water that causes us to never thirst.

Then the Lord will bring revival. Verse 12 says, these shall come from a far, from the north and the west. Then He says to sing, O heavens and earth for He will have mercy on His afflicted. He is sending the rain after the trials of affliction.

Isaiah 49:25 is a very special verse to me. My daughter Melanie was in the hospital, in a coma and they said she was brain dead. They wanted me to pull the plug, but I could not do that. I had been an intercessor for too long and knew It was my job to pray and bind the spirits. It was not my job to end her life. That had to be the Lord’s doing or I would never have found peace.

He gave me Is. 49:25 and in the Amplified it says, “I will contend with him who contends with you, and I will give safety to your children and ease them.” I went on my way believing He was going to bring Melanie out of her coma. She was in a coma for 9 days and then died. But when I read the scripture again, it became clearer to me.

He brought her to Himself, and she was no more in danger or suffering but in the safest place there is. He answered my prayer, just not the way I thought He would. He gives us gifts while we are here for His purpose. We have no control of the breath we breath or the fate of our families. All we can do is put them in His hands trusting that He will do the very best for us.

I know she is in heaven with her dad, and they are both very well taken care of. That is what my prayer had always been. He answered it. Now is the time for thanksgiving for He has comforted His people and will have mercy on His afflicted! Thank You Jesus!

  1. Great message!!! I got something from the encounter you had with the issue of Melanie.
    You went back to the scripture, that’s a great lesson right there.
    We have to keep going to the scriptures so the we get enlightenment on the meaning.
    I discovered that the spirit of wisdom and revelation comes when we meditate on the word rather than just browsing and go to the next one.

    1. I am so glad you read it. This is one of this biggest and hardest trials of my life. But He is so good to me. She was not happy and it was so hard to watch her suffer. The Lord took mercy upon us all though the rest of my family did not understand. I would not have made it without that scripture.
