“A ROYAL PRIESTHOOD” JUNE 7, 2022 SCRIPTURE AND SONG

HAGGAI 2:23

23. In that day, saith the lord of hosts, will I take thee, O Zerubbabel, My servant, the son of Shealtiel, saith the Lord, and will make the as a signet: for I have chosen thee, saith the Lord of hosts. KJV

This scripture is referring to the last days. In verse 21 He says, He will shake the heavens and the earth. In verse 22 He will overthrow the throne of kingdoms and destroy the strength of the ungodly nations. He will destroy Satan’s kingdom and come back to reign.

Meanwhile, He is telling the current person who is next in line from the house of David to rule as King in Israel and to prepare himself to be used to renew His covenant with the David’s line.

David was not like any other King of Israel. His name means beloved, and he was truly the beloved of the Lord. He was a man after the heart of God. He had faith to kill Goliath when all the rest were afraid. He sought the Lord before each battle to get the Lord’s directions. Even when he sinned, he came back stronger than before. He worshipped like no other and penned the Psalms for us to enjoy. He danced before the Lord and is an example for us today.

This is the Spirit that the Lord is raising up in these last days. It is not in one single King of Israel but in the kings and priests (royal priesthood) that He has raised up in these last days to fight the spiritual battles that will make the way for His return.

I Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show forth the praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. KJV

They will be known as peculiar because their light shines in the darkness as they praise Him with excitement and joy. All will see they are different as they make His glory known to the nations.

1 Chronicles 29:20 And David said to all the assembly, Now adore (praise and thank) the Lord your God! And all the assembly blessed the Lord the God of their fathers, and bowed down and did obeisance to the Lord, and to the king (as His earthly representative). Amp.
