REVELATION 5:9
And now they sing a new song, saying, You are worthy to take the scroll and to break the seals that are on it, for You were slain (sacrificed) and with Your blood You purchased men unto God from every tribe and language and people and nation. Amp.
When we think of heaven, we think that it is a holy place, and all the inhabitants are perfect and holy. But this scripture is saying Jesus was the only One Who is worthy to break the seals. That means the angels are not perfect nor the four living creatures. They are all worshipping the Lamb Who was slain saying, “Worthy is the Lamb.”
What is the new song? It is a brand-new song that comes out of a brand-new heart that has been cleansed renewed. The song that comes out of this heart is fresh and new. It has eyes that sees the Lord clearly after many painful trials and sifting.
When we first get saved it is though we are at the bottom of a tall mountain. We begin climbing with the Holy Spirit leading the way. It is a hard road with thorns and rocks that hurt the feet, so we must keep looking up at the top. Each time we get at the end of a trial we come to a summit, and we can see clearer than before. Each summit reveals Jesus a little clearer than before.
2 Corinthians 4:6 For God Who said, Let light shine out of darkness, has shone in our hearts so as to beam forth the Light for the illumination of the knowledge of the majesty and glory of God (as it is manifest in the Person and is revealed) in the face of Jesus Christ, the Messiah. Amp.
When we worship, we must learn to keep our focus on Jesus. Satan will invade our thoughts and steal the closeness that we have been given. The Light has been put into our hearts to reveal and illuminate Jesus. We have been given the privilege to behold His majesty and glory. And this causes us to have more knowledge of Him.
But if we cannot focus on Him and look up, into His Face which is spiritually before us, we may not see Him. We must examine our hearts before we come. There cannot be any idols before Him. We must be thankful and enter with praise into His presence.
Praise leads us into worship. Anointed fast songs must be first, ending with the slow songs of worship. The words must be about His goodness and not about man’s weakness. We are singing songs about Him. Videos have their place, but you are apt to focus on the performance which can be distracting.
We must enter into His presence. You can sing the songs without entering into His presence. If that is the case, then you need to take it to the Lord and ask Him why you cannot enter in. He wants you to enter in and if you are determined to get there, He will meet you and show you the way.
When we get to the end of all of our trials and sufferings we are at the top of the mountain, and we can see clearly what we have been longing for so long. Jesus is the New Song that we sing for He alone is Worthy to be praised. And we know because we have learned as we climbed the mountain and have become fresh and new.
Revelation 14:3 And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders; and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty-four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth. KJV.
When we worship, we must learn to keep our focus on Jesus. Satan will invade our thoughts and steal the closeness that we have been given…
This really captivated me due to a lot of noise it’s so difficult to focus on God.
I am now learning to meditate on scriptures and shut everything else out.
God is still speaking.
Great word!
