PSALM 126:5-6

5. They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.

6. He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him. KJV

It is such a miracle when you put a small seed in the ground or in a pot and you see it sprout through and continues to grow. It is a miracle only God can perform. When you look upon the fruit or vegetable that grows and you see how many seeds come from just one piece, it is a testimony of the abundance of God.

Then what if you planted all of those seeds, and then planted all of the seeds from the new plant? What a huge harvest there would be. And yet that is just what He has given us. It should make us cry to see the goodness of His giving. There are so many spiritual lessons in planting and reaping. Are they not a symbolic meaning of many other things?

We know we can give gifts financially and plant seeds. But many times, people are looking for more money for themselves to spend on fleshly things. If it is going to be a snare to you then the Lord will bless you in other ways. He can lower your car insurance. He can protect you in ways that you are not even aware of that would cost you financially. He knows how to lower your outgoing expenses without increasing your income.

But we know the greatest blessings come from planting the spiritual seed in our life. Our time of Worship is gathering up all of our love and sending it up to Him. And we do this over and over because we love Him. As we send it up to Him with tears, He sends us His great love and presence back down to us in a greater capacity. If we sow in tears of love, we will reap great joy from Him.

When we have trials, we are to endure them with thanksgiving and the right attitude, and we will have a blessed afterward. Our prayer time is an abundant field that we must cultivate over and over. Many times, we have painful prayers that we offer up to Him with tears. He hears every prayer and every cry. He loves to answer but sometimes waits so the answer will be more valuable to us than if we had gotten it right away.

When we have problems in our families or our Church, He expects us to bring all of our requests to Him and leave them there knowing they are seeds planted in a field and will return to us at harvest time.

He promises that if we sow in tears, we will reap in joy. Sometimes we must go through hard painful times. But if we are patient and endure our suffering the right way there will be a joyful harvest time!

Job 42:10 And the Lord turned the captivity of Job and restored his fortunes, when he prayed for his friends; also the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.

Isaiah 61:7 For your former shame you shall have a twofold recompense; instead of dishonor and reproach your people shall rejoice in their portion; therefore, in their land they shall possess double what they had forfeited; everlasting joy shall be theirs. Amp.

Job reaped twofold and so shall we if we endure the right way. The best is everlasting joy. What else do we need?
