ISAIAH 45:2-3
2. I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight; I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron:
3. And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the Lord, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel. KJV
The Lord is so good to His people. He knows the future and is already there making things work for our good. When Satan would try to make our pathway filled with traps and crookedness, the Lord will make a way where there seems to be no way. He loves impossibilities because He can show us His might.
He wants us to see the hard times as opportunities to lead us to His treasure. We are so easily discouraged by the things Satan may throw at us. We must keep the upward gaze. Our eyes should be upon the Lord and not any circumstance. That is where our victory lies.
Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to His purpose.
We know we can believe goodness and mercy will follow us all the days of our life just like it says in Psalm 23. So why let the enemy distress us by his roadblocks that the Lord will remove? We can so easily get lost in sadness for no good reason. Satan is a liar. So why do we believe him at times?
Most of the time it is due to unbelief from past hurts and experiences. That is the time when we must pray the covenant asking for the Holy Spirit to change and deliver. We find the scripture that pertains to our situation and take it to the Lord and say, “You promised in Psalm 34:4 that you would deliver me from all my fears, and You cannot lie. Thank you, Lord for your Word, and Promise to me.”
Romans 8:31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
Now we have all of these precious promises to keep in our heart. We should be able to get up from our time of communing with the Lord filled with faith and His personal Word of promise to us.
That is the treasure of the secret place. He is our portion and there is none better. He will supply all that we know we need because He loves to. He knows everything about us and calls us by our name. He is a personal God who wants to have a personal relationship with each of us. That is the true treasure.
