HABAKKUK 3:1-3

  1. A prayer of Habakkuk the prophet, set to wild, enthusiastic and triumphal music.
  2. O Lord, I have heard the report of You, and was afraid. O Lord revive Your work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make Yourself known! In wrath remember mercy.
  3. God (approaching from Sinai) came from Teman, (which represents Edom,) and the Holy One from Mount Paran (in the Sinai region). Selah (stop and calmly think of that)! His glory covered the heavens, and the earth was full of His praise. Amp.

Habakkuk was complaining to God in his prayer time about the Lord being silent when so much was wrong around him. And the Lord answered him. He showed him what was coming and how bad it would be though it tarry, it will surely come. Hab. 2:3

He shows him that He is a just God and the wicked will be judged. His wrath will be poured out and it will be very devastating. But the just shall live by faith. Hab.2:4

We must have faith in God meaning trust and reliance and confident expectation of just Who He is. All of His Words to us and promises are like money in the bank. It will be time for us to draw out what we need by prayer. When we go to the bank to draw out funds, we have no doubt that we will be given what we ask for. He is better than any bank and has a lot more to bestow.

We must not fear when the hard times come. We must know He knows our future and will supply our every need. If all the stores empty out, will we fall apart. Just who is your source? If it is the Lord, then you know He is not limited. He is the creator. He can create your answer. He does not need man or a store.

He is already prepared for the last days. It is us who need preparing. How did Habakkuk prepare?

Habakkuk 3:18 Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will exult in the (victorious) God of my salvation!

19. The Lord God is my strength, my personnel bravery and my invincible army; He makes my feet like hinds’ feet and will make me to walk (not stand still in terror, but to walk) and make spiritual progress upon my high places of trouble, suffering or responsibility!

He is rejoicing knowing he is taken care of. Let us do the same!
