PSALM 68-1

Let God arise, let His enemies be scattered: let them also that hate Him flee before Him. KJV.

There is an old song we sang back in the 80’s when I first got saved:

🎶”Let Your Spirit rise within me, Let Your Spirit rise within me, And set my feet a dancing, And my heart rejoicing, And my mouth singing out Your praise!” 🎶

That is what happens when the Spirit of God is in control. He knows how to make us happy. This also makes the enemy cringe and flee. We must learn how to let God arise. Acts 2:4 says the disciples were all filled with the holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Now remember we talked about this in another post, (Unity). The disciples had to be in agreement and devoted to prayer. In Acts 2:47 it says they were constantly praising God. They are our example if we want to see the enemy flee. We must give control to the Holy Spirit and be willing vessels to allow Him to arise within us.

If we are to be filled with the Holy Spirit, we must first be emptied out so He can fill us up. That does not mean that you cannot be baptized in the Holy Spirit when you first get saved. That is what happened to Me and my husband Gary when we first got saved. All I knew was My Mom got saved at a Charismatic Catholic meeting. She was slain in the Spirit and on the floor for an hour and got up changed. She was so very happy and all she could talk about was the Holy Spirit and David Wilkerson. I wanted what she had.

She took Gary and I to Church and took us down to the evangelists who were visiting and asked them to pray for us to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit. We did and were never the same. We were so happy and all we could talk about was the Lord also!

The Lord has done so much since those days. It takes time and a lot of emptying to be filled. But I can see a difference now that I did not have back then. Satan does flee when I am full and at rest. He so very much sets my feet a dancing and my heart rejoicing and my mouth singing out His praise. That song could not be truer.

We must let God arise within us, allowing Him to have His way. He will lovingly take away things that hurt and mar His presence in our life and make it a beautiful thing. We must always cooperate with the Holy Spirit. Then we can sing another song, “Let God Arise and His enemies be scattered.”

That is where the victory lies!

Acts 2:39 For the promise of the Holy Spirit is to and for you and your children…

My Mom and Gary are with the Lord now. It all began because she believed this promise. The Lord is so good and faithful to every promise He makes! Thank You Jesus!
