“HE WILL BRING US THROUGH” MARCH 15, 2022 SCRIPTURE AND SONG

PSALM 56:3-4

3. What time I am afraid, I will have confidence and put my trust and reliance on You.

4. By the help of God I will praise His Word; on God I lean, rely and confidently put my trust; I will not fear; what can man who is flesh do to me? Amp.

DEFINITIONS

Confidence -d) firm belief; trust; reliance.

Reliant -d) having or showing trust, dependence or confidence.

What do we do in times of trouble when all around us people or circumstances seem to be against us? We need courage to fight the good fight with faith.

The Word of God says we are not to have faith in ourselves or our own capabilities. Self-confidence is not the faith God requires. Faith is trust in what is not revealed to the senses. We must learn to believe what God says even though we do not see Him with our eyes. We are not atheists. They do not believe in God. We do have faith in God.

We are to show that we have faith by how we react in times of trouble. This is when we are being tested. If we pass the test, we grow and go on to the next one. If not, we will end up back at the starting gate and take the same test over and over until we get it right. I know, I have been there.

We are to remember the times that God has brought us through before and know that He always will. We must put the focus of our eyes on His power and faithfulness. As we lean on Him and not on man or our own abilities, He will bring us through victoriously.

Fear is the opposite of faith, so that makes it the sin of unbelief. Yes, we all have fear. What do we do about it. Faith is what pleases God. The fearful will have their place in the lake of fire, Rev. 21:8. We must ask the Lord’s help when we know we have fear. He will deliver us.

Psalm 34: I sought the Lord, and He heard me and delivered me from all my fears. KJV.

We have a concrete promise that if we seek help from the Lord, He will deliver us from every fear that we have. Therefore, it is not our problem. He is the deliverer and cannot lie. All He asks is that we believe and trust in Who He is and the merit of His Almighty mercy, faithfulness and holiness that can never fail a single trusting child.

He will be there, hear our every cry and bring us through. How can we not believe Him?
