SONG OF SOLOMON 4:15
You are a fountain springing up in a garden, a well of living waters, and flowing streams from Lebanon.
This is a love story. The Lord is speaking to His bride whom He has cleansed and restored. Without the Lord we are empty and dry. When He comes into our heart with the Holy Spirit, He fills us with His living water. It becomes a fountain welling up within us.
John 7:38 He who believes on Me – who cleaves to and trust in and relies on Me – as the scripture has said, out from his innermost being springs and rivers of living water shall flow continuously. Amp.
We must acknowledge our need for the Holy Spirit in our lives, so we can empty out of self, giving Him the room to fill us up. If we follow the Lord in our life, we will be filled with the promise He gave the disciples in Acts. 1:8.
Acts 1:8 But you shall receive power — ability, efficiency and might — when, the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses in Jerusalem and all Judea and Samaria and to the ends — the very bounds of the earth. Amp.
Before the disciples were filled with the Spirit in the Upper Room, they were hiding from those who had crucified Jesus. They were controlled by their fears instead of resting in the faith of God.
When the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they rose up ignoring those who crucified Jesus and spoke out boldly. Peter told those listening that they had crucified Jesus and needed to repent. The living water rose up from within and saved 3000 that day as it was the beginning of the prophesied outpouring.
We need this ability in our life to endure the last days trouble that is coming upon all the earth being a witness of His keeping power while the rest of the world is fainting in fear. We need our own upper room room experience with the Lord as we wait for the promise as He also told the disciples to wait until they were clothed with power from on high.
Luke 24:49 And behold, I will send forth upon you What My Father has promised; but remain in the city (Jerusalem) until you are clothed with power from on High. Amp.
Hallelujah without the Lord we are empty and dry
And He never wants us to be empty and dry!
