Psalm 112 begins by saying blessed is the man who worships and fears the Lord and delights greatly in His commands. He is blessed in verse 4 by the Lord lighting up his darkness. The Lord is gracious and compassionate and loves to bring His own into His Light showing them the difference between the light and the dark or the good and the bad.
Jesus is the Light of the world. He became flesh and dwelt with man as He brought light into our darkness. We were all in darkness without Him. Then He loved us so much as He saved us and showed us the way out of that darkness. He has made the way clear to us that was not clear before. We must learn to follow Him to stay in His Light.
Isaiah 60:2 For behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and dense darkness all peoples; but the Lord shall arise upon you, (O Jerusalem), and His glory shall be seen on you. Amp.
This is the prophesied darkness that I believe is already here. Now is the time to allow the Lord to be your all in all. He is everything you will ever need to see you through to the end of the age. Times are bad now. So many are suffering fears or sickness and death, and this is just the beginning.
Many will lose loved ones when the seals, trumpets and vials are completed. I believe we are on the brink of The 3rd Seal which is famine. This country has not suffered any great famines in this generation. What will they do without their coffee let alone their meals? We have breezed through the years while many countries have suffered famine after famine.
We need Jesus at this time more than ever. He is the only source of Light that will bring your soul rest. With Him you, as Paul, could be in the darkest of dungeons with no provisions and yet it would be heaven with Jesus by your side.
Psalm 112:5 It is well with the man who deals generously and lends, who conducts his affairs with justice.
It is also so very important to be a cheerful giver and give to those in need, so that when your time of need comes, He will take care of you. We always reap what we sow. There is always someone who is needier than us.
