PSALM 34:15-17

15. The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and His ears are open unto their cry.

16. The face of the Lord is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.

17. The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles. KJV

The Lord hears our cry like a new mom hears every sound her new baby makes. She is right there making sure all is well. We can only imagine how hard it was for the Heavenly Father to hear Jesus’ cry to Him when He was on the cross. How much pain He endured to allow Jesus to suffer and not answer His cry. He loves us so very much.

And yet His ears are always open to our cries. We are foolish not to cry to Him in our time of need. In verse 19 He says again, “He delivereth him out of them all.”

Revelation 6:16 And they called to the mountains and the rocks, Fall on (before) us and hide us from the face of Him Who sits on the throne, and from the deep-seated indignation and wrath of the Lamb. Amp.

Exodus 33:20 And He said, Thou canst not see My face: for there shall no man see Me and live. KJV

God told Moses that He would put him in a place beside Him, the cleft of the rock. That place is Jesus. We are not privileged to see the Almighty’s face until we die if we enter heaven. But Jesus has unlimited access to the Father. As we enter into the new covenant, we can obtain all that Jesus has purchased for us. That includes access to the Father and His face, at least as much as He desires to reveal, which is Jesus.

As we sit beside Him in the cleft of the rock (Jesus) we will become more and more blessed by His presence as He shines His countenance upon us. And we are changed by the blessing! If He is so willing to share such a great blessing with mankind, those who reject the offer will suffer greatly.

Psalm 89:15-16 Blessed are the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O Lord, in the Light of Thy Countenance.

16. In Thy name shall they rejoice all the day; and in Thy righteous shall they be exalted.
