But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. KJV

Glass -c) to mirror oneself.

Glory -c) dignity, honor, praise and worship.

This chapter is talking about when Moses put a veil over his face because he had been on Mount Sinai with the Lord for 40 days and nights with no food or water. His face sent forth beams because of his speaking with the Lord, Ex. 34:28-29. If that happened before Jesus was crucified, how much more can we obtain from being in His presence.

Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. KJV

There were only a few who were privileged to stand in the Presence of the Lord in the Old Testament. We all have been given the opportunity to come boldly unto His throne to receive all the help we need. We can only blame ourselves if we lack.

2 Cor. 3:18 is saying that we can come unto Him with an uncovered face and something so beautiful happens. During our worship time we are to focus on Jesus without any distractions. Then we can come into His throne room and behold Him in the Spirit.

We are changed by His presence as Moses was and it is as we are looking upon Jesus, we see ourselves as He is reflected back into our spirit. And we are changed from glory to glory. We receive of His dignity and honor and our praise and worship just grows stronger. Moses ate no food and drank no water when he was in the presence of the Lord. We can have more strength to fast by worshipping more. The power is available to us.

We are changed gradually. The Old Testament (or Hebrew) definition for glory is the word copiousness which means plentiful or abundant. This would mean that we would receive an abundance of Jesus. The main thing we receive during our worship is His love.

That would truly be enough for us. But it is not enough for Him. He wants to fill us with everything we need to serve Him victoriously. And He does this gradually as we come changing us from one realm of glory to the next realm of glory.

These are all possibilities. It is up to us to come boldly and receive the help we need. What an awesome opportunity we have been given and yet many waste valuable time. He is coming back soon, and we will need every drop of His precious Holy Spirit to fill our up our lamps.

Psalm 116:7 Return to thy rest, O my soul; for the Lord hath dealt bountifully with thee.
