ISAIAH 60:12 For the nation and kingdom that will not serve you in that day (Jerusalem) shall perish; yes, those nations will utterly be laid waste.
This is all about Isaiah 60. I believe it starts out during the last days as the darkness shall cover the earth, but the glory of the Lord arises upon His people who are ready. Then revival begins as the Lord draws nations to the brightness of their rising. vs. 2-3
Isaiah 60:5 Then thou shalt see, and flow together, and thine heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted to thee, the forces of the gentiles shall come to thee.
Forces – c) an army, wealth, virtue, valor, strength, able, host, might, power, goods, riches, brave, courageous, fearlessness, general moral excellence, goodness of character.
Many scholars have speculated about what this verse might mean. We know that the riches of the gentile nations will one day come to God’s people. It may happen during the millennial reign or sooner. It may come gradually. But that is not the important riches that believers need foremost.
The last days is a time of great trouble and distress like none has ever seen before. What we need are the spiritual riches of strength, courage, fearlessness and the general moral excellence of our character that will help us to be strong and stand throughout all the last days.
The abundance of all these things will come to God’s people. They are possibilities. We will have the opportunity to acquire each of these riches. We must be ready to discern their coming. I believe these are some of the blessings that come at the end of our trials and repentance.
In one of David Wilkerson’s messages, he teaches about Daniel’s prayer and fasting in chapters 9-12. He uses it as an example for us. He said that as Daniel was praying and repenting for his nation and himself, at the end of his fast he was blessed with the following:
- He was visited by the angel Gabriel.
- He was given new revelation about Israel’s captivity.
- He was given revelation about the last days.
- Jesus revealed Himself to Daniel.
- Jesus Himself gave Daniel peace and strengthened him.
- Jesus took away Daniel’s fear.
- He was given revelation about his own future.
These are the true riches that give us virtue or excellence of the soul that we will need to stand against all the opposition that is ahead. Then will the Lord lift us and cause the nations to serve us like they will serve Him. We must be like Daniel and seek Him for our nation in repentance and fasting. He is a great example for us to follow.
