ISAIAH 61: 1-3

1. The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; He hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;

2. To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn;

3. To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He might be glorified.

There are 9 things to do in the scriptures.

  • Preach
  • Bind up
  • Proclaim
  • Comfort
  • Appoint
  • Give

In verse 4:

  • Build
  • Raise Up
  • Repair

The Holy Spirit is the only one who can perform such wondrous works. He has covered everything that we need. But He always uses man to do His Work on this earth.

He must prepare us for such a work as this. We do know the Lord came for such a ministry as this. He was perfect in every way.

We must be prepared and perfected for any of these works. There is so much to do. It will take many to perform such a task.

As we read, we cannot help but look at all He has done for us. Has He not healed our broken hearts more than once? Has He not set us free? We have received comfort and joy regularly.

And in our heaviness has He not given us a garment of praise changing our ashes to beauty?

Now we should be able to tell the good news of how blessed we have been to receive such a wondrous deliverance.

The last days outpouring will be like nothing we have yet seen. He is calling His remnant to allow the Spirit of the Lord to move within their hearts and begin His outpouring inside of you.

What an honor it will be. What a wonderful way to start the New Year! Will You?

    1. I cannot comment on your last post because I think I am blocked. I am using my phone and I am learning a lot. I especially like Gen. 3:10. It goes with the end times – Rev. 16:15. Thanks!
