1 CORINTHIANS 1:8-9
8. And He will establish you to the end – keep you steadfast, give you strength, and guarantee your vindication, that is, be your warrant against all accusation or indictment — so that you will be guiltless and irreproachable in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Messiah.
9. God is faithful — reliable, trustworthy and therefore ever true to His promise, and He can be depended on; by Him you were called into companionship and participation with His son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amp.
Establish -KJV- Confirm -d) to make firm, strengthen.
Vindicate -d) to clear from criticism, suspicion, blame, etc., to defend.
This is a promise that is so precious. He will be vindicated when He comes back as King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. All will know that He is God and will bow to Him. He will also do the same for His people who have suffered the same reproach that He suffered.
They will be guiltless in the day of the Lord, meaning the last days. He saves His best work for the last.
Isaiah 62:1 For Zion’s sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth. KJV.
Isaiah 62:11 Behold, the Lord has proclaimed to the end of the earth, Say to the daughter of Zion, Behold, your salvation comes in the person of the Lord; behold, His reward is with Him and His work and recompense before Him.
Isaiah 62:12 And they shall call them, The holy people, The redeemed of the Lord; and you shall be called Sought out, A city not forsaken. Amp.
If there is no rejection or persecution in your life, then you are not part of the redeemed of the Lord.
John 15:18 If the world hates you, ye know that it hated Me before it hated you. KJV
You must pass through the same rejection that He passed through and then He will come and make it right with a glorious reward. If you suffer the same as Him, you will enjoy the same vindication that He does. He will definitely be sought out. All will see the wonderful brightness of His glory and the beauty of His holiness flowing out of His heart of perfect love for all that belong to Him and have not rejected Him.
The wonderful thing about Jesus is that He wants to share all He has with us. He is more willing to give everything He has than His people are willing and able to receive. But the scriptures say that He will do this. It will be that He will have a holy people who will be established and vindicated and called into companionship with Him. They are a holy people, and all will know who they are.
Holiness and happiness go together, where one is found the other ought to never be far away. Holy people have a right to great and enthusiastic joy; they may shout because of it. Oh Lord, You have made it their duty to rejoice and to let others know of their joy. Believers are commanded to rejoice in the Lord. Where righteousness is their clothing, people will be occupied with joy. What a happy religion that makes it our duty to be glad.
