Philippians 4:7 And God’s peace be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace which transcends all understanding, shall garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Amp.
2 Peter 3:14 So, beloved, since you are expecting these things, be eager to be found by Him at His coming, without spot or blemish, and at peace — serene confidence, free from fears and agitating passions and moral conflicts. Amp.
These scriptures are telling us that the peace of God is our safety in the last days. His peace is the evidence of righteousness in our life and heart. When we are at peace we are under His protection and safe.
Philippians 4:6-8 says:
- Do not fret or have any anxiety
- Pray about everything
- Pray with thanksgiving
- Being content with what God gives you
- Fix your mind on what is pure
Isaiah 4:1 And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, We will eat our own bread and provide our own apparel, only let us be called by your name to take away our reproach of being unmarried.
The spiritual meaning of this scripture is about the Church, who wants to be wed to the Lord, but wants to do it her way. She is rejecting being fed and clothed by the Lord. She wants to eat her own food, and wear her own clothes. She is refusing the Bread of Life and His Robe of Righteousness. She is self sufficient and only wants His Name.
We must do things His way, and sometimes that is very hard. James and John wanted the seat next to Him, so He asked them, “are you able to drink My cup?” Do we just want the safety and provision without paying the price or doing our part?
Isaiah 4:4 After the Lord has washed away the moral filth of the daughters of Zion (pride, vanity, haughtiness), and shall have purged the blood stains of Jerusalem from the midst of it by the spirit and blast of judgment and the spirit and blast of burning and sifting.
There is only one way to be purified and that is through the refiners fire. He paid for His people and they belong to Him. He will take them through His cleansing fire as He sits closely by watching the dross melt away. We never stay a minute longer that is needed for our good. Then He is right there ready to bless us with a blessed afterward!
Isaiah 4:5-6 And the Lord will create over the whole site, over every dwelling place of Mount Zion and over her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night; for over all the glory shall be a canopy — a defense of divine love and protection.
6. And there shall be a pavilion for a shade in the daytime from the heat, and for a place of refuge and shelter from storm and from rain. Amp.
We have been given such great promises of protection for the last days. To go through the cleansing process should be our desire so we can be with Him. We need His peace and His shelter from the storm or we will not make it. He loves us more than we can comprehend. Let us trust Him with everything we need so He can prepare us for that day.
