7. Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of of the God of Jacob;
8. Who turned the rock into a pool of water, the flint into a fountain of waters. Amp.
Fountain – c) a source (of satisfaction), spring well.
In the last days the Lord will come back and turn things upside down. The wicked will be exposed and removed. The meek shall inherit the earth. I believe they will start out when He brings His recompense and rewards. He will make them the head and not the tail.
Isaiah 41:17 The poor and needy are seeking water when there is none; their tongue is parched with thirst. I the Lord will answer them; I the God of Israel will not forsake them.
18. I will open rivers on the bare heights, and fountains in the midst of the valleys; I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water. Amp.
The wilderness can be a dry place. It is a place of separation from the world and sin. It is a place of persecution. It is a place of isolation and loneliness. To have divine fellowship, we sometimes must give up the earthly fellowship. It is a small price to pay to spend time with the Almighty in His secret place.
By the world’s standards and sometimes the Church’s, success is determined by how big your Church is and how many attend. Jesus and Paul would have been considered a failure today. These days are filled with tests. What would you choose if you had the opportunity to pastor a large Church and make a good salary or stay home and seek the Lord with no interruptions?
You can have the largest Church in the nation, but if there is no time to seek the Lord in prayer and communion, then it will be a dead church with no fountain flowing. He is testing His people to see what they truly want. He will give you what you want, but you won’t have Him.
He will dry up the large churches and turn the wilderness into a fountain. He will rescue His sheep who have been a prey in these dead churches. Ez.34:10
Ezekiel 34:16 I will seek that which was lost and bring back that which has strayed, and I will bandage the hurt and the crippled, and will strengthen the weak and sick; but will destroy the fat and strong (become hardhearted and perverse); I will feed them with judgment and punishment. Amp.
Ezekiel 34:26…I will cause the showers to come down in their season; there shall be showers of blessing (of good and insured of God’s favor).
The Lord will bring His recompense and His rewards.
