ISAIAH 35:1-6 The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose.

2. It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing:  the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon, they shall see the glory of the Lord, and the excellency of our God.

3. Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees.

4. Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not:  behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompense, He will come and save you.

5.  Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.

6. Then shall the lame man leap as a hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing; for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert. KJV.

DEFINITIONS

Lebanon – c) white mountain.

Carmel – c) fruitful

Sharon – c) making to prosper.

The wilderness is a solitary place in the desert and they shall begin to reap all the prayers they have prayed in abundance. This sounds like the last great outpouring. Many who have been closed to the Gospel will begin to listen. Many who have disliked the songs of God will begin to sing with great joy.

Many will see things about Jesus they could not see before. Many will begin to understand things about themselves that caused them great pain before. It will begin to make sense and turn out for their good. Many who just could not defeat areas of sin and flesh in their life will begin to win battles like never before.

Streams and waters will flow in the wilderness and the desert. This means places that water is not found, will be found. This is the flowing of the Holy Spirit in abundance. What is the Holy Spirit’s function?

John 14:16 And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener and Standby) that He will remain with you forever. Amp.

He will remain with us forever and help us in every way. He will comfort us. Spurgeon says that the Holy Spirit tends to our wounds and applies medicine and bandages. But Jesus is the medicine He applies.

He will help us to pray. He will defend us. He will strengthen us. He will always stand by us. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Jesus. It is like having His breath living and working in us. Jesus said He must go away so the Spirit could come and be in close fellowship with you. It is He who will convict the world of sin, about righteousness and about Judgment. John 16:7-11.

John 16:13 But when He, the Spirit of Truth comes, He will guide you into all the truth — the whole, full truth.

There is never any reason for us not to understand the scriptures. The Holy Spirit will guide us into all truth. I have prayed for the understanding of many doctrinal beliefs that I thought might be in error. I knew that if the Holy Spirit would lead us into all truth, that there was no reason why I could not receive the answers I was seeking. Now I know in my heart that I have the truth.

Isaiah 35:10 And the ransomed of the Lord shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away. KJV

This is the key to peace and rest. His joy will flow through the songs of God by the power of the Holy Spirit. We must put ourselves in the right position to sing and worship the Lord everyday. He will flood our soul with His presence. There is our life and rest. We are made complete in Him by His Presence.

Everlasting Joy and Gladness shall cause the sorrow and sighing to flee away!!!
