PSALM 24-27 This is the day which the Lord has brought about; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

25 Save now, we beseech You, O Lord; send now prosperity, O Lord we beseech You, and give to us success!

26. Blessed be he who comes in the name of the Lord; we bless you from the house of the Lord (you who come into His sanctuary under His guardianship).

27. The Lord is God, Who has shown and given us light — He has illuminated us with grace, freedom and joy…

This is a happy Psalm. Many songs have been taken from Psalm 118. We should always do our best to be thankful for each day we are given. He has a plan for each day of our life whether we are walking through the fires of affliction or the sunshine of His smile, He says to rejoice and be glad in it!

When we are in a hard place we can be thankful that we are just passing through and look forward to tomorrow. We can be thankful for the breath that He gives us today. We have no promise of that breath tomorrow. We are to be thankful for today and rejoice in it, because He made it for us and it is right.

He never desires for us to suffer, though He knows the value of it and will allow it for our good. We should always pray to have success in every trial or situation we encounter. If we do not pray and talk to Him about it, how can we expect success? One reason for the trial or trouble is to draw you nearer to Him. That is the truest success and the most favorable result.

Blessed is He who comes in the NAME of the Lord. Who comes in the character of the Lord? Matthew 8:15 says, “Beware of the false prophets, who come to you dressed as sheep, but inside they are devouring wolves.” It goes on to say a tree is known by its fruit. This is not talking about numbers but the character and what comes out of their mouth is a clue to what is in their heart. We must be wise and discerning in these last days. Listen closely to their words.

If we are blessed enough to come in the character of the Lord, He will illuminate us with His Light, that will make Him clear to others and spread forth His joy and Happiness. That is what Isaiah 60:1-3 is all about.

He says to ” Rise and Shine for your Light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon thee!” This is the same Light as in verse 27. Darkness, I believe, has covered the earth. Darkness meaning misery, destruction, death, ignorance, sorrow, wickedness, and withholding the Light.

The Lord is actually withholding His Light from those who persist on running away from the wonderful God and creator of all who loves them more than they can ever comprehend. This world is so empty compared to the fullness of the Spirit that He pours out upon His own. His Love is the very opposite of darkness. It is so full of Light, true happiness and joy.

One trait that will be clear of the true people of God is this happiness and joy. The wolves will not possess this joy and will make many excuses that sound really convincing for it, but He is saying to beware. The Joy Of The Lord Is Our Strength, without it we will not have His peace and will not stand when He comes. Our joy level is very important to our survival.

Rejoice and be glad!
