JUNE 28, 2021 SCRIPTURE AND SONG

REVELATION 12:14 But the woman was supplied with the two wings of a giant eagle, so that she might fly from the presence of the serpent into the desert (wilderness, to the retreat) where she is to be kept safe and fed for a time, and times, and half a time (three and one-half years, or twelve hundred sixty days). AMP.

I believe this woman is the bride of Christ. She is running from the serpent or Satan. But the Lord provides her with the wings of an eagle that she might fly into the wilderness. She has the option to fly or not to fly. What do these two wings signify?

ISAIAH 40:31 But those who wait for the Lord—who expect, look for and hope in Him — shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up (close to God) as eagles (mount up to the sun); they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint or become tired. Amp.

She is waiting for the Bridegroom to return as the 10 virgins of Matt. 25 were waiting. Five wise — and five foolish. They needed extra oil in their lamps. The wings lift her up and out of the earthly realm where she is seated next to Jesus, joint seating in the heavenly sphere by being in Christ. Ephesians 2:5-6 There is power when we are part of His body. We draw from Him what we need.

For me the two wings represent my strength and my song. They both must come from the Holy Spirit or they have no value. It is spiritual strength that we need that lifts our spirit out of discouragement and negativity that the devil would love to have us wear.

The Lord loves to use His beautiful love songs that draw us closer to Him. The strength comes during our prayer time. Our praise and prayer times are done in secret where only He sees. The devil will always try to stop you because he knows how valuable you will be in affecting his kingdom.

The wilderness is a solitary place where the refining process is performed. We all need this if we are to be a strong overcoming bride in these last days. You have to submit to the wilderness lifestyle while in the world. There is fasting and separation from worldly activities. But the Lord gives so much more than this world can ever give.

You give your life as a living sacrifice. As you give yourself to Him, you realize that it is no sacrifice, but all you want is more of Him. Desires and the things of this world just disappear.

In heaven everyone will want to be with Jesus. But I believe the rewards will be given by how much each person gave of himself while he was here. Now is the time to put on those wings and rise up in the strength He has supplied us with to find Him!
