They shall pour forth (as a fountain) the fame of Your great and abundant goodness, and shall sing aloud of Your rightness and justice.
Fountain — c) a spring, a source of satisfaction
John 7:38 says, “He who believes in Me — who cleaves to and trusts in and relies on Me — as the Scripture has said, Out from his innermost being springs and rivers of living river shall flow continuously.” Amp.
The Lord wants His people to always be that clean vessel that He can flow through. The river of living water is the Holy Spirit. To have the Holy Spirit flowing through us, we too must be holy. When we cleave to Him, trusting and relying on Him, self departs. We know we do not have all the answers, but He does. Self dependency is an enemy.
I have heard so many say, “The Lord gave us a mind and wisdom and He want us to use them.” But what does the Bible say?
Proverbs 3: 5-7
5. Lean on, trust and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind, and do not rely on your own insight or understanding.
6. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths.
7. Be not wise in your own eyes; reverently fear the Lord and turn entirely away from evil.
The scriptures say that we do not have the wisdom or ability so we are not to believe that we do. We are not to be wise in our own eyes, but give all our trust to the One and only Wise God.
Look at this country and what do you see? Do the leaders lean on God or their own understanding? Do most reverently Fear the Lord? Do they turn away from evil?
In order to be a fountain flowing with living water we have to get out of the way and allow Him to change us. What ever fountain you drink from is what you will be like. If you drink muddy water from a muddy stream, how can you be pure? It is important what you allow you eyes to look upon and what comes to your ears.
This life is a time of testing. The trials and tests will show Him who truly love Him and they will survive the last days because He will protect and preserve them. They will be pouring out rivers of living water. They will feed others and give them a deep satisfaction in their soul because it is Jesus who is doing the feeding.
They will sing a new song of praise of His great goodness and it will grow into the Eternal Song that will never cease. That is the wonderful truth that we have to look forward to. Let us open up completely and He will cleanse us so we can pour forth as a fountain for Him.
