18. I will gather them that are sorrowful for the solemn assembly, who are of thee, to whom the reproach of it was a burden .
19. Behold, at that time I will undo all that afflict thee: and I will save her that halteth, and gather her that was driven out; and I will get them praise and fame in every land where they have been put to shame.
20. At that time will I bring you again, even in the time that I gather you; for I will make you a name and a praise among all people of the earth, when I turn back your captivity before your eyes, saith the Lord.
Slander — the oral utterance or spreading of a falsehood, harmful to another’s reputation
The Lord was perfect in every way and yet suffered as no other has suffered. He knows all about our pains and sorrows because he has been there. As pure as He was, He was not without slander and the pain that goes with it. When He returns He will bring His rewards and recompense.
It is hard to believe that things will be just and upright instead of upside down, the way they are now. The wicked at the top and the righteous at the bottom.
If you are a true follower of Christ and love Him with all your heart, all your mind, and all your strength then you will be slandered and made to suffer as He did. Our scars will be our badges of honor. There is great reward for the persecuted. He will turn things around and all will be clear who serve the Lord and who does not, Malachi 3:18.

Rest then, oh slandered one, and let not your soul be tossed to and fro with anxiety.
When sickness, slander, and sin all beset a saint, he requires the special aid of heaven, and he shall have it. He is afraid of nothing since God is always with him.
We will not be forsaken by our Lord. In heaven we will see that we had not one trial too many, or one pain too severe.
