PSALM 77:19-20
19. Your way in delivering Your people was through the sea, and Your paths through the great waters; yet Your footsteps were not traceable, but were obliterated. 20. You led Your people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron.
SUBJECT — DELIVERANCE — STREAMS IN THE DESERT
Defeat may serve as well as victory to shake the soul and let the glory out. When the great oak is straining in the wind, the boughs drink in new beauty, and the trunk sends down a deeper root on the windward side. Only the soul that knows the mighty grief can know the mighty rapture. Sorrows come to stretch out spaces in the heart for joy.
POEM
“Thou waitest for deliverance!
O soul, thou waitest long!
Believe that now deliverance
Doth wait for thee in song.
“Sigh not until deliverance
Thy fettered feet doth free
With songs of glad deliverance
God doth now compass thee.”
DEFINITION — SALVATION – c) “YESHUA” Hebrew definition of Salvation – deliverance, healer, save, victory, safety, rescue, make whole, preserved, liberty, prosperity, welfare, and protection.
Our deliverance from sins of the flesh, the world and the devil are all a part of the price He paid for our salvation. It is not just a ticket to heaven, but a life of abundance and victory while we are here.
He has given us the key to open the door of victory. When we get to heaven He will ask us why we did not fight and resist the devil in certain areas of our life. We will have excuse after excuse. But He will say, “I gave you the key. Why didn’t you use it?”
It will be too late for excuses.
