Rev. 21:27 But nothing that defiles or profanes or is unwashed shall ever enter it, nor any one who commits abominations — that is, unclean, detestable, morally repugnant things — or practices falsehood, but only those whose names are recorded in the Lamb’s Book of Life.

THERE WILL BE AN OUTPOURING ‘ OF MY SPIRIT
In the last days there will be an outpouring of the Holy Spirit right before the end. The darkness will grow darker and the Light will grow brighter until the Light defeats the darkness. With His Light comes incredible joy and happiness that will illuminate His people. This Light is everlasting and will put fear out of doors. What a joy and privilege to be fearless.
That is His promise for His last days army of God. That is what is needed because there is so much darkness all around. There will be fear all around because of all that is coming upon the earth. Man is at a loss. There are no answers because it is the end.
The New Jerusalem will be the city of God and He will dwell in the midst of them. There will be no darkness. No sun, no moon — Jesus will be their Everlasting Light. He will illuminate the world. He will explain everything and make things clear. We will see why we had to go through the hard times. He will show us just how His consuming fires purified our hearts and worked for our good.
He promises to be that Everlasting Light now, through the hard times. Isaiah 60:19 is saying, it will not matter if the sun does not give its light. He will be all that the Everlasting light will be. He will make everything so supernaturally and spiritually beautiful that all the darkness will not affect them. That illumination will shine forth a Light to the nations. Some how others will know that Jesus lives within you. Just another glorious reason not to fear the last days, but to draw nearer and nearer to Him.
He is preparing His people. Now is the time to learn of Him and make Him your refuge. What is a refuge?
Refuge d) — shelter or protection from danger, difficulty, etc. a place of safety, shelter, safe retreat.
Where do you go for help? When this world starts deteriorating all its help will deteriorate. Now is the time to learn His ways. His word is true. He cannot lie. He promises to supply our every need. There is only one requirement, and that is faith. He expects us to believe what He says. He wants us to love and trust Him. Prayer and praise is mandatory. You cannot wait until the last minute and expect His help.
Psalm 91:1-5 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 2. I will say of the Lord He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in Him will trust. 3. Surely He shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. 4. He shall cover thee with His feathers, and under His wings shalt thou trust: His truth shalt be thy shield and buckler. 5. Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; 6. Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noon-day.
Psalm 91 says that if He is your refuge, you will be stable and secure. No foe or enemy will harm you. If you trust and rely on Him, He will deliver you from every trap, every disease, every tongue that speaks against you, and every enemy. You will be safe under His wings all because you made the choice to follow the Light and allowed Him to teach you His ways. And all because you dwell with Him in the secret place where no one sees but Him.
This is His promise. However, it does not promise a life free from battles and attacks from the prince of darkness. It is through these battles that we experience His deliverance. I am sure the Israelites were not very comfortable when the Egyptians chased them to the edge of the Red Sea. But what a glorious story they would have to tell their children. They needed faith and the Lord supplied it. So too we can expect many trials that will build up our faith preparing us for what is ahead.
What is the end of Psalm 91?
14. Because he hath set his love upon Me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known My name. 15. He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; and I will deliver him, and honor him. 16 With long life will I satisfy him, and show him My salvation.
When we go through the hard times with Him, He is always near. We learn how far He is willing to go for us. That He never will let us down. He is always patient and loving when we least deserve it. And we fall forever in love with our Everlasting Light.
