EPHSIANS 4:14-15
14. So then, we may no longer be children, tossed like ships to and fro between chance gusts of teaching, and wavering with every changing wind of doctrine, the prey of the cunning and cleverness of unscrupulous men, gamblers engaged in every shifting form of trickery in inventing errors to mislead.
15. Rather, let our lives lovingly express truth in all things – speaking truly, dealing truly, living truly, enfolded in love, let us grow up in every way and in all things into Him, Who is the Head, even Christ, the Messiah, the Anointed One.
We are to grow into mature manhood by being complete in Christ’s perfection in the fullness of Him. We are to be full of Him. If we are unresponsive to the truth, how we can know just what He requires of us, Romans 2:6-10?
The more time we spend with the Lord the more we are filled with the Holy Spirit. Prayer and Praise and Worship are also ways to be filled with the Holy Spirit. Then when we are filled it is so easy to get in the flesh and it let it drain out. It can drain out when we are doing our own will instead of the Lord’s will. And when we feed on fleshy food such as books and entertainment.
Verse 15 is so very important. It shows us the value of the Spirit Filled Life. It is how we truly live that will be the utmost value to our ministry to others. We are to walk in love always speaking, dealing and living truly enfolded in love. That is the witness we are to be. That is the fullness of Christ and His Truth.
