2 CORINTHIANS 4:6
6. For God Who said, Let light shine out of darkness, has shone in our hearts so as (to beam forth) the Light for the illumination of the knowledge of the majesty and glory of God (as it is manifest in the Person and is revealed) in the face of Jesus Christ, the Messiah.
God is always wanting to know us and for us to know Him. His main desire is to reveal Himself to us. How wonderful He is. He is always giving us His most precious gift.
JOHN 17:3 And this is eternal life: (it means) (to know) perceive, recognize, become acquainted with and understand) You, the only true and likewise to know Him, Jesus (as the) Christ, the Anointed One, the Messiah, Whom You have sent.
He is giving us the gift of Eternal Life for the purpose of getting to know Him. He sent us His son for the purpose of getting to know Him. As we grow, we are to allow His Light to become stronger and stronger. He reveals His majesty and glory in the face of Jesus.
We are to seek His face in our communion time. This is so important and so neglected. We need to learn His voice for so many reasons. It is not taught enough because so many live without it. They do not have time and go on without seeking His voice and His face and will suffer for it. This is where the real power comes from. As times get harder more strength and power are needed. This is where they are found. This is a truly rich relationship with Jesus.
We must learn to fix our spiritual eyes on Jesus during our worship and communion times. He is revealing His majesty and glory as it says He will in the last days. Our thoughts must cease, and our focus must be entirely on Him. With hands in the air, it is stronger and quicker. The more we are preoccupied about our troubles, the harder it will be.
Isaiah 35:2 …They shall see the glory of the Lord, the majesty and splendor and excellency of our God.
