PSALM 3:3-4

3. But you, O Lord, are a shield for me, my glory, and the lifter up of my head.

4. With my voice I cry to the Lord, and He hears and answers me out of His holy hill, Selah! Amp.

The Lord is so good. He allows the enemy to come into our lives at times just to build our faith. He wants us to see how close He is and how far He will go for us. There is never a time that we are really in danger. He is always in control.

When the Israelites were set free from Pharoah in Egypt and began their journey to the promised land, I am sure they thought it was over many times. But the Lord was always there and stepped in at the right moment.

How many times has He done the same for us? We are to learn not to be like the Israelites who complained at every turn. We are to remember what He has done for us being thankful and praising Him with all of our hearts.

If we complain about each new trial we face, we will end up in a wilderness of our own making. We will be like a student who flunks and has to take it all over again. We will be faced with the same situations over and over again until we learn to trust and be thankful.

PSALM 3:8 Salvation belongs to the Lord: Your blessing be upon your people. Selah!
