ISAIAH 24:23

23. Then the moon will be confounded and the sun ashamed, when they compare their ineffectual fires to the light of the Lord of hosts Who will reign on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem, and before His elders show forth His glory. Amp.

Isaiah 24 is a prophecy of the last days of the earth. the footnote in the Amplified says, “Jehovah empties, devastates, and depopulates the surface of the earth. The writer feels that he is living in the last days.”

He has a remnant who will be singing and glorifying the Lord in the fires. Then he goes on to reveal a great shaking in the earth. “For the windows of the heavens are opened as in the deluge, and the foundations of the earth tremble and shake.” vs. 18

Isaiah 24:19 The earth is utterly broken, the earth is rent asunder, the earth is shaken violently.

20. The earth shall stagger like a drunken man and shall sway to and fro like a hammock; its transgression shall lie heavily upon it, and it shall fall and not rise again.

This sounds like the great or tremendous earthquake in Revelation 16:18.”nothing like it has ever occurred since man dwelt on the earth, so severe and far reaching was that earthquake.”

In verse 22 there is a gathering of all. Then the moon will be confounded and the sun ashamed. This sounds like the moon and the sun will not be darkened until the very end. But then the Lord shows up and reigns on Mount Zion and shows forth His glory!

It sounds like when all this begins it will come very rapidly. Now is the time to prepare for His return. We must be filled with the Holy Spirit. When you partake in the things of this world the Holy Spirit will drain out of you. We must be full and have extra oil to be prepared to enter the Marriage Supper of the Lamb.

Matthew 25:10 But while they were gone away to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were prepared went in with Him to the marriage feast; and the door was shut. Amp.
