JUDE 24-25
24. Now unto Him Who is able to keep you without stumbling, or slipping, or falling and to present you unblemished (blameless and faultless) before the presence of His glory – with unspeakable, ecstatic delight – in triumphant joy and exaltation,
25. To the one only God, our Savior through Jesus Christ our Lord, be Glory (splendor), majesty, might and dominion and power and authority, before all time and now and forever – unto all the ages of eternity, Amen – so be it. Amp.
Do we put all dependency upon the Lord for keeping us from stumbling and falling? Do our eyes continually rest upon our condition? We try so hard to get it right every day. And do we get it right?
We are to place our life in His hands and rest it there. Only He can keep us and present us faultless before the throne. How much does our striving cost us? Yes, we are to make great efforts every day to live and walk in His ways. But we are also to rest in Him. How do we rest and strive at the same time?
If we spend time with Him alone giving Him the opportunity to speak to us in one way or another, we will get up from our time at rest at peace and in faith. We will follow Him as He gently leads us. We do not have to make it happen. We are to wait upon Him. His way is peace and love. That is rest.
He wants us to be happy. If we are sad then we need fixing in some area. We need to talk it over with Him and do our best to hear and know why we are sad. If we know why we are sad then we need to ask for Him to show us the way back to His joy. He wants to help us more than we can know.
When we have problems like these, we can find the scripture that applies to our situation. We take it to Him and say, “This is what your Word says, and you cannot lie so do as Thou hast said.” And He will do it every time.
1 JOHN 3:22 And we receive from Him whatever we ask for because we (watchfully) obey His orders – observe His suggestions, follow His plan for us — and (habitually) practice what is pleasing to Him. Amp.
