10. And they who know Your name (who have experience and acquaintance with Your mercy) will lean on and confidently put their trust in You: for You, Lord, have not forsaken those who seek (inquire of and for You) (on the authority of God’s Word and the right of their necessity). Amp.

This is a Psalm of David as he was thanking God for delivering him from his enemies. This can also be directed toward the last days final judgment of the wicked cities and nations of the earth. Verse 8 says He will judge the world in righteousness.
In the midst of this judgment, He will be a refuge for His own who know and are acquainted with Him. We must make Him our refuge. He must be where we go for help. You cannot go to man for help and then expect the Lord to bless it. He says to cease trusting in man, Is. 2:22. If He is our refuge then He should be the first place we go to for help and then wait for Him to do His thing. Sometimes He waits to see if we lose patience and run somewhere else.
Those who have experience and acquaintance with the Lord are those who will place their trust in Him. We must allow the trials now so we know how He works, or we will run the other way in panic when things go wrong. These days will be days of desperation and destitution. If you do not have true relying on confidence in Him, it will show, and He will let you go your own way.
Verse 10 is saying He must be our necessity meaning that we are not willing to let go of Him in any circumstance. He is an essential part of our life. We have learned who He is. We have learned His character. We know His nature and patterns of His behavior therefore we will not run to man or the world for help. Israel was continually running to Egypt for help bringing all kinds of judgment upon themselves.
He will not forsake those who know Him and lean on Him. These are the days that we must get to know His character so we will be able to confidently put our trust in and lean on Him.
PSALM 59:17 Unto You, O my Strength, I will sing praises; for God is my defense, my fortress and high tower, the God Who shows me mercy and steadfast love.
Amen and amen.
We must make Him our refuge.. Those who trust in Lord are like Mt Zion
