PSALM 24:3-4
3. Who shall go up into the mountain of the Lord? Or who shall stand in His holy place?
4. He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted himself up to falsehood, or to what is false, nor sworn deceitfully. Amp.
What is the Mountain of the Lord? It is where the house of the Lord would be. We come into His gates with thanksgiving in our hearts and into His courts with praise. It is a spiritual place now. But when He returns it will be the New Jerusalem, an actual place the He has made to dwell with His worshippers. We must learn now how to go up to the mountain of the Lord.
We know to be in His presence we must have clean hands and a pure heart. We must take it seriously and examine ourselves continuously making sure we have no sin in the way of our coming into His presence.
He continually fussed at Israel for putting idols before Him. Jesus said the Father was seeking those who would worship Him in Spirit and in Truth. We must be in the Spirit and not in the flesh. We must be honest about what we sing and not swear falsely. Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord. If we say we love Him more than anything, we must not be lying or we will be judged for swearing falsely.
If, however, we are honestly loving Him with all of our hearts He will admit us into His house, and we will be in His presence. We will open the gates and doors of our hearts and let the King of Glory come in and dwell. We will begin to seek His face out of necessity because we have tasted of such a wonderful treasure.
PSALM 24:8 Who is the King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord, mighty in battle. Amp.
Truly we need to be cleansed by the blood of the lamb to stand before him with our petitions. Thanks a lot for sharing such a blessed post.ππ₯°ππ
