“WHOEVER PAYS HOMAGE TO THE BEAST” DAY OF THE LORD APRIL 2, 2023

REVELATION 14:9-10

9. And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive His mark in his forehead, or in his hand,

10. The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of His indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb. KJV

Babylon is a representative of idolatry. The evil of this world gets stronger every day. We must put our trust in the Lord to keep our life from evil. We must learn how to keep Jesus first in our heart and lives. Satan is standing and waiting for any opportunity he has to steal what he can.

The Amplified version says in verse 9, “whoever pays homage to the beast and his statue.” Homage is what we do to show honor to someone or thing. If we serve the Lord, it would be what we do to show that we serve the Lord or what we do for Him. So if we are serving the beast, what are we doing for it?

The beast is an evil spirit in the last days that has more power than any have ever had and are a greater threat especially to the church. It is possible that his image or statue is the media.

REVELATION 13:8 And all the inhabitants of the earth will fall down in adoration and pay homage, every one whose name has not been recorded in the Book of Life.

This is saying that all who are not saved are doing homage to the beast. Everyone has a cell phone with every answer to life’s problems at their fingertips. When we are in a trial, we are to wait for the Lord to deliver us out of it. The temptation to take matters in our own hand is greater than ever because of the media.

If we rely on the push of a button more than the Lord that is idolatry and homage to the beast. He wants us to follow Him in all our ways. The Lord does not let me have a phone and there is a very good reason why.

Believe means to trust in, adhere to and rely on. We are to rely on the Lord and not this world for help. Do you follow the weather report or ask the Lord to guide you in all of your ways? He knows the weather more than the weathermen know. That is just one example. There are many more.

PSALM 16:8 I have set the Lord continually before me: because He is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.

Mount Zion shall not be moved when Babylon falls. It will happen and all who put their cell phone in first place, depending on it for the help the Lord wants to give will fall.
