The Lord always reveals new meanings of His Word. It is a field of plenty that we must continually dig into for new revelations. I have spoken of Isaiah 60:1-2 many times and each time He takes me deeper. What is He saying at this time?
My late-husband Gary had a vision back in the 80’s. He saw the earth and it was dark. There were lights streaming through certain people. That was the only light. We think things will always be the same, but the Bible tells us about this great darkness that will cover the earth.
This darkness is a foretaste of eternity without God. He is withholding His great light. So many take it for granted and have not learned how to live in the light. His light is what we receive from Him when we spend time in prayer and praise and worship. It is something we must learn. It is not automatic. We must keep our lamps full. If we do not cultivate it daily, it will run out. How do we cultivate it?
As we read the scriptures, they must become who we are. Romans 5:1-5 explains how the trials make us mature and learn how to enjoy His peace and glory where we safely stand. We will not mature in His glory if we do not endure the trials He sends the right way. What is the right way?
We must wait the Lord’s timing of our deliverance by not walking around the trial and forcing our way out of it. There are lessons that can only be learned in the trial He sends our way. This is the place where we learn to focus on the good ending He has when disaster looms all around. We must learn to be thankful and positive in times of affliction and sorrow believing He will make it all work for our good no matter what our circumstances are.
These are times we learn how the enemy works and uses his lies against us. We have to discipline ourselves not to worry or complain but be thankful and positive as we sing His praises and love and adore Him for His goodness in the midst of our suffering.
We must learn how to let peace rule instead of fear by keeping our eyes on Jesus. If we do not spend time alone with Him being still in His presence and listening for His voice, we will end up in unbelief which leads to darkness.
The trials are the place where faith is exercised and birthed. We see ourselves and we learn when we are in faith and when we are in unbelief. He opens our eyes and reveals who He is and what He wants to do in us. It is a time of beauty and wonder because of His great love and goodness. He always gives so much back to us after the trial is past. Abundance is His Glory. Abundance of all He is. And that is what He wants us to have.
The glory of the Lord will be revealed in the last days remnant as in no other days before. He has a special plan for His special sufferers. They will be different and all will know they have been with Jesus. There will be something different about them and you will know!
DANIEL 12:3 And the teachers and those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the firmament; and those who turn many to righteousness — shall give forth light like the stars forever and ever.
It truly will be amazing to see his light sign through his people in the darkness. What a beautiful, wonderful day that will be.
