“THE ZADOK PRIESTHOOD” DAY OF THE LORD DECEMBER 15, 2022

MATTHEW 24:45

45. Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his Lord hath made ruler over His household, to give them meat in due season. KJV

In the Old Testament the Lord made a distinction between the priests from the house of Eli and Zadok. He chose the Zadok priests to draw near to Him. Zadok means to be just or righteous.

EZEKIEL 44:15

15. But the priest of the Levites, the sons of Zadok, who kept charge of My sanctuary when the children went astray from Me, shall come near to minister to Me, and they shall attend Me to offer to Me the fat and the blood says the Lord God.

We know how Eli’s sons despised the offering of the Lord and brought judgment on Israel. The Lord looks upon our walk with Him and how serious we take our prayer time and what we give to Him. If we withhold anything that He requires we will feel the effects of it seriously.

Zadok was to teach the people the difference between the holy and profane or the clean and unclean. We have all been called to be priests and kings unto the Lord. So, we are all called to teach the difference between the clean and unclean. He was allowed to draw near to the Lord.

The scripture in Matthew 24 is asking who is the faithful servant that He will put in charge of His household? All will not be Zadok priests. Some will be Eli priests. He will make that distinction, and all will know what kind of a priest we are.

The main key is our offering the fat. Able offered the fat and his offering was accepted by the Lord when Cain’s was not accepted. The definition of the Hebrew word for fat means the choicest part. We are to give the choicest part of our life to the Lord.

He knows our heart and sees what the most important thing in this world to you is. There is where your offering lies. He wants the best. He deserves the best. This world is the only chance we have to give to Him. When our breath is gone, we will have no more chance to offer unto Him anything.

The Zadok priests will be those who rule and reign with Jesus in the Millenium. Our offerings will be judged and recompensed. What a great honor to rule next to Jesus. He will give more than the best when we give to Him our best.
