JOEL 2:28-29
28. And afterward I will pour out My Spirit upon all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions.
29. Even upon the men servants and upon the maidservants in those days will I pour out My Spirit.
My new video is about how I have experienced what I believe to be His outpouring in my life and in my Church. It is longer than the last 2 but it is happier stuff and not gloom and doom.
In Joel the 2nd Chapter it gives us an outline of what we can do to be a part of the outpouring of His Spirit. Chapter 2 begins with judgment and seems to be the last days. But Paul preached about the last days as if it were about to happen. The Church has had 2000 years to prepare.
Joel 2:12 says to keep coming to Him with fasting and weeping until every hindrance is removed. That is what fasting does. With prayer it is vital to a victorious walk. He says He will revoke His sentence of evil when His conditions are met. We must always do things His way. Then and only then can we expect to be a part of His outpouring.
Joel 2:15 says to Blow the trumpet in Zion to set apart a fast and a day of restraint and humility; call a solemn assembly. He is talking about what they did on the day of atonement. We too must have our day of atonement where we examine our life and repent of all sins. We must call a day of restraint. I believe this means that we give everything to Him and restrain from self-interests and make Him our interests.
Then in verse 19 He says, “Yes.” He is answering our prayers by saying yes! How great is that? That is when He restores all you have lost and some of what you have given up. He sends the rain and things grow in abundance and you eat in plenty and are satisfied. Then comes the outpouring of His Spirit. And He begins to bless those for whom you have prayed and then some He has added just because He is blessing you. He always gives the increase when we are faithful. That is what His outpouring is about.
He is not confined to a certain way to pour out His Spirit. Who knows what He has in store for His own before He returns. It will be the greatest outpouring of all time and then He will come!
PSALM 68:9 You O God did send a plentiful rain, You did restore and confirm Your heritage when it languished and was weary. 10. Your flock found a dwelling place in it; You O God in Your goodness did provide for the poor and needy.
I will watch and comment on your video tomorrow…don’t wanna wake the Hubby😗
