2 CORINTHIANS 10:3-5

3. For though we walk (live) in the flesh, we are not carrying on our warfare according to the flesh and using mere human weapons.

4. For the weapons of our warfare are not physical weapons of flesh and blood, but they are mighty before God for the overthrow and destruction of strongholds.

5. Inasmuch as we refute arguments and theories and reasonings and every proud and lofty thing that sets itself up against the true knowledge of God; and we lead every thought and purpose away captive into the obedience of Christ, the Messiah, the Anointed One.

We are fighting a battle and we must pay attention to how we fight. We are to disagree with carnal reasoning that would twist the Word of God. We cannot just sit by and not stand up for the truth. There are times we will be persecuted for saying the unpopular view. The worldly listeners will always be there to stop the truth. This is a generation of itchy ears.

We have to decide whose side we are on. Jesus was all alone and fought for us against the carnal men of His day. At times He did not answer. That takes more strength than telling someone what you think at times. Some things do not deserve an answer.

The weapon He used was laying down His life. That defeated the whole host of evil and saved every sinner from hell who believes. The disciples thought He should reign as king at that time. That would be how to defeat the Romans. But His weapon was the cross. They could not comprehend what was coming.

Are we not also to lay our life down for the brethren? We must die to self, pick up our cross and follow Jesus. Everyone wants to bring in the last days harvest. That sounds so inviting. But the Word is saying if you don’t die you will remain just one grain of wheat.

EPHESIANS 6:7 Rendering service readily with goodwill as to the Lord and not to men.
